The Operational Assessment

A Clearer Picture of How Your Company Actually Operates

Not a survey or a checklist you fill out yourself. The Operational Assessment is a structured, in-depth evaluation conducted on site, followed by a comprehensive report with present-state observations and specific, prioritized recommendations.

Find the Cracks Before They Cost You

Growth Has a Way of Exposing What Was Already There

Most construction companies run on instinct and institutional memory, which works fine until it doesn't. Growth exposes cracks that were always there: a job costing process that only one person understands, a superintendent managing people the same way he manages materials, or a Procore license nobody fully uses.

The Operational Assessment is a construction organizational assessment that evaluates your company across 7 core areas and 25 specific points to identify where those cracks exist and where your attention will make the biggest difference.

What You Get

The Assessment Stands on Its Own

This isn't a sales pitch disguised as an assessment. Some contractors take the report and handle the fixes internally. Others ask for help with their top priorities. What you do next is your decision, not something you have to decide before seeing the findings.

Present-State Findings

A clear picture of what's working, what's costing you, and where problems are developing.

Written Report

A comprehensive report with observations and specific recommendations in clear, practical language.

Prioritized Recommendations

A prioritized view of what's urgent, what's important but not urgent, and what's already working well.

Action Plan

Short- and long-term initiatives focused on the changes that can have the greatest impact on the company.

How It Works

A structured process built around your organization.

We start by understanding your company, then spend time on site seeing how the organization actually operates. From there, we evaluate the findings, develop recommendations, and walk leadership through the results.

1

We Prepare

We begin with a virtual call to discuss your company's background, pain points, and goals. We also review key documents ahead of the on-site visit so we arrive with a clear understanding of your operation.

4

We Debrief

We meet with leadership virtually to walk through the findings, discuss the recommendations, and answer questions.

2

We Evaluate

Our team spends 2–3 days on site, meeting with leadership, departments, and smaller groups across the organization to examine all 25 points of interest. Larger or multi-site companies may require additional time.

5

You Decide

Take the report and handle the priorities internally, or engage our team to help with the next steps. Our goal is for you to be successful, whatever that looks like.

3

We Report

We produce a comprehensive report outlining what's working, what's costing you, and where changes could have the greatest impact. Each area is evaluated based on its current condition, the potential impact of changes, and the level of effort required.

LET'S TALK.

Understand Where Your Company Stands

If you have a sense that something isn't working as well as it should, but you're not sure where the problem starts, the Operational Assessment can give you a clearer picture. Let's talk about your organization and whether an assessment makes sense for you.
